My Musicians:
Reo Casey is a multi-instrumentalist from Dallas, Texas whose playing has been featured on releases from legendary Blues record labels like Alligator and Denmark. He performs regularly, both locally and on the road. He continues to admire classic Texas music while working to build his own contemporary sound.
George Geurin our bass player owns D.E.S. Mastering (Digital Editing and Mastering) is a Texas-born audio engineer and musician who has worked in the Dalas music scene since the 1970's. He recorded, mixed and produced or co-produced several landmark Dallas bands. In 1990 he started his own mastering studio, DES Mastering where he has mastered over 5k albums and EP's for regional, national, and international artists. George has played bass in many genres including rock, jazz/fusion, soul/funk and Blues. Digit
Who is Miss Marcy? - vocalist/ band leader/ song writer
She ain't no schooled musician with a fancy degree. Miss Marcy is a Bar Singer. She graduated from University of North Texas with a degree in English Literature and since then has been hanging out in bars and playing music with Dallas’ finest musicians since before cell phones. Miss Marcy has been working the Dallas/ Ft. Worth entertainment circuit regularly for many years now. Her musical passion resides with Blues. Miss Marcy’s musical style is derived from the Divas from the first part of the 20th century including Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, Big Mama Thorton, Lucille Bogan then later influenced by Etta James and the like. In her live show, she plays her original songs that Texas Blues audiences love to dance to, sketch art to, photograph; her shows call the artistic collective. When she began performing, she selected songs that were considered by 20’s and 30’s audiences to be too suggestive for radio or too racial. Since then while playing in the bars of Deep Ellum and then recording two albums of original music with CSP Records, she has cemented her own style; still writing music, better heard live. She is Miss Marcy.
